Documentation

Students must provide the following documentation to be admitted:

  • ⑴Completion of 12 years of formal school education or equivalent in your country or in other countries.
  • ⑵Able to provide evidence of financial support that proves the applicant’s ability to pay for tuition and living expenses.
  • ⑶Completion of more than 150 hours of Japanese language learning at educational institutes in Japan, or have ability that equal to Japanese Language Aptitude Test N5.

Documentation

Applicants must provide the following documentation to be admitted:

Student Documents
1 Application for Admission School form
2 Personal History School form
3 Last graduation certificate or Equivalent certificate (Original) The original will be returned.
4 School Transcript (Original) If you are still in school: both from high school and university/college
If you are in graduate school:both from university/college(undergraduate) and graduate school
5 Certificate of enrollment (Original) In case an applicant is currently in school
6 Copy of family register・Document that proves your birthplace (Original))  
7 Proofs of Japanese language Learning (Original)
*Examples:
– The result of Japanese Language Aptitude Test N4 (Original)
– Certificate or transcript that proves the length of hours studying Japanese, the levels, and materials (Original)
Issued by educational institutions in Japan
8 Copy of your passport All pages including front and end
9 8 – ID Photos 4cm in length,3cm in width (Photos should be taken within 3 months from the day you apply to the immigration office.)
10 Certificate of employment In case you have experience of working fulltime or currently under employment
11 A letter of commitment School form
12 Essay(Reason for Studying Japanese in JAPAN) School form
Financial Documents(Tuition payer, supporter/ sponsor, relatives are outside of Japan)
1 Letter of Paying Expenses School form
2 Copy of family register (need to prove birthplace) (Original)  
3 the document needs to prove family relationship with details including names, birthday, address, relationship to students and more)
4 Supporter’s Bank Statement Issued by bank
5 Copy of bankbook From 3 years ago to the latest
6 Proof of income (Original) Issued by employer from 3 years ago to the latest
7 Supporter’s 3 years tax payment Statement Issued by Tax office
For Chinese students:
「中華人民共和国税収通用完税証」or 「中華人民共和国税収繳款書」
8 Supporter’s Employment Certificate In case a supporter is under employment:include details of works, position, the length of the employment
In case a supporter is an employer or administrator:submit a copy of operating license, a copy of tax registration form (Both original and copy are ok)
9 Explanation latter by supporter (Original) Written by supporter explaining the reasons why he/she support the student

2 Copy of family register (need to prove current address and all family members) In case supporter is a foreigner, please submit a copy of residence card (Both side needed)
3 Documentary evidence of relationship with applicant (original) Including name, birthday, address and relationship
4 Supporter’s Bank Statement (original) Issued by bank
5 Supporter’s Bankbook Copy Last 3 years
6 Supporter’s 3 years tax payment Statement (original) Issued by city
7 Supporter’s Employment Certificate (original) In case a supporter is under employment:include details of works, position, the length of the employment
In case a supporter is an employer or administrator:submit Certificate of registered matters (original)(issued by Legal Affairs Bureau),
8 Copy of passport In case supporter is a foreigner
9 Explanation latter by supporter (Original) Written by supporter explaining the reasons why he/she support the student
Attention!
  • 1 All the documents should be submitted with Japanese translation. Translated forms should include translator’s name, address and phone number at the bottom left on the documents. A stump or signature should be put right next to the name.
  • 2 All the copied documents should be the same size as original ones. Write down the name of the person who made a copy, the date, and the relationship with applicants.
  • 3 All the documents should include the date of issue, name, address, and phone number of the institution, and name of the person who is in church with signature.
  • 4 All documents are issued within 6 months.
  • 5 If applicant has graduated from high school only, he/she needs to be finished more than 150 hours of Japanese learning.
  • 6 Do not use whiteout or correction fluid.
  • 7 All the original documents will not be returned except certificate of diploma.
  • 8 We will request applicant more documentation if necessary.

6.Payment of entrance fee and tuition

7.Issuing the certificate of Eligibility for Resident Status from the school
 
Students starting in April:Soon after the payment is made

8.Applying for student visa to the nearest Embassy of Japan or Consulate General of Japan
passport and Certificate of Eligibility for Resident Status are necessary
